Jan 27th 2020 FellowCraft Degrees – two Brothers

We started out with a delicious steak, potatoes, & toasted rolls dinner, (thank you Worshipful Masters Chris Webb and Steven Pitts). The meeting turnout was good. We had two brothers (Lee & Jim) go through the FellowCraft Degree Monday night, Jan 27th at our Lodge. We were fortunate to have Worshipful Master Pat Lynch and two other Masonic brothers from Gulf Beach F&AM Lodge attend the ceremony. Year 2020 is starting out to be a good year!

Northside Claims Traveling Gavel

Last night a number of the members of Northside Lodge #283 visited Elmer O Smith Lodge #307. It was a night of great fellowship with fun had by all! But the most important part of the night was when we took claim of the Traveling Gavel.

It was my understanding that Elmer O Smith Lodge had maintained a claim on the Gavel for between 3 and 5 months and I knew we just had to make a visit because Northside Lodge had been without the Gavel for far too long. Toward the end of the evening when the Lodge was conducting new business, a number of members of Elmer O Smith did their best to keep us from claiming the Gavel, but our persistence won out!

This was all done in good fun and they told me that if 3 months passes and we still have the Gavel, we can expect a visit from a number of their members to our Lodge to reclaim it!

More images to follow.
